- Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
- Meanwhile, add corn flour, maida, salt and chilli powder in a bowl and add water to mix. Make a free flowing batter. The consistency should not be too runny.
- Dip the paneer cubes in the batter and deep fry in the hot oil. Turn the heat medium and fry until golden and crisp.
- Drain them on a paper towel.
- Then add 1tsp corn flour to a bowl and add water
- For the sauce, heat oil in high flame.
- Add ginger and garlic and cook until the raw aroma disappears.then add the onion and chilli and saute for a minute or two.
- Pour soya sauce, tomato ketchup and the corn slurry (cornflour mixed with water) and stir so that no Lumos are formed.
- Add more water if needed.
- Add salt, sugar and vinegar and allow the sauce to thicken up.
- Turn off the flame and add the fried paneer and some spring onion. Serve it hot.
