Ingredients and spices that need to be Make ready to make Kadhai Paneer:
- For sauted veggies
- 1 Capsicum cubes
- 2 Onion Cubes
- For gravy masala
- 250 grams paneer cubes
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 chopped tomato
- as required Some chopped green chillies
- as required Few garlic cloves
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp garam masala powder
- 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
- as per taste Salt
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- as required Water
- 1 tsp kasuri methi
- For khada masalas
- 2 cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 dried red chilli
- 2 green cardamom
Instructions to make to make Kadhai Paneer
- Take a pan add a tsp of oil, add the vegetable cubes into it. Sprinkle some salt and saute them for about a min. Keep them aside.



- Now in the paneer cubes add some turmeric powder and kashmiri red chilli powder, give it a gentle mix. Now in the same kadai add 2 tsp oil and fry the paneer cubes by turning them gently. Now dip the paneer cubes into plain water. Keep it aside.



- Now take a small bowl, add all the dry masalas like, turmeric powder, salt, sugar, chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder. Add 2 tbsp of water to it. Make it a paste form, now keep this on one side.

- Now in the same kadai, add 2 tsp oil, add all the khada masalas to it. Let them splutter then add chopped onion, chopped tomatoes, chopped green chillies, garlic pods and fry them till it's 70 percent done.


- Let the mixture cool down. Then remove all the khada masalas and blend it in a smooth paste, as shown in the image below.


- Now in the same kadai add a tbsp of butter and add the dry-masala paste which we have prepared earlier, in step 3, as mentioned above. Fry it for about a minute on a low flame. Now add the tomato-onion mixture into it, which we have prepared in step 4 & 5. Fry it for about 3 to 5 mins over a low flame.



- After some time the oil will start releasing from the masala. Now add the paneer cubes to it (step 2). Give everything a gentle mix and then fry it again for about a minute.



- Then add a cup of water. Add salt, as required. Now mix everything well and cover it and cook it on a low flame for about 5 mins. After 5 mins add kasuri methi, capsicum and onion cubes which we have sauted and kept it aside (step 1). Mix everything well and cook it for about 2 mins more.



- Now switch off the flame and enjoy with some naan or tandoori rotis of your choice.
